[[ Hebrews 6:19 ]]
This hope we have as an anchor for the soul,
both SURE and STEDFAST

[[ Ephesians 4:32 ]]
Be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another,

even as God in Christ has forgiven you.

[[ Isaiah 40:30-31 ]]
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Let’s go AC let’s go! Let’s go AC lets go!

It’s been a while since I’ve really cheered my heart out,

And it’s been the first time I’ve entrusted the results to God’s hands.

The first time when I’ve trusted God to give us the gold.

And what can I say?

He never fails. =D

Here’s the scores throughout the game:

7-0 to the Saints.

7-7 tie.

12-7 to the Saints

12-10 to the Saints

12-13 to ACS!

12-16 to ACS!

Oh man. Just look at it. I still haven’t fully believed what happened la. The Saints got an early advantage, scoring the first try of the game. ACS caught up relatively quickly, bringing the score to a tie. But the saints scored yet another soon enough. But we scored a penalty, and brought the score to 12-10. But we were still lagging behind!!

Half-time. The players switched sides. Neither team scored anything for quite a while. We were starting to get worried. Were we going to lose the title after so many years?! But I prayed every spare moment I had. Prayed for God to show what He was capable of. Of turning an impossible situation around. A desperate hope into reality. In the last 10 minutes, the miracles started happening.

Towards the end of the game, ACS was awarded a penalty shot. Somehow, we managed to pull it off, bringing the score to 13-12 to our advantage. We were back in the lead!! But it was still a narrow game. Even a penalty shot for the Saints would upset the score.

In the last 5 minutes of the game, the Saints were going all out to get just the few more points to get their victory they so desperately wanted. It looked as though they were going to too, with their players filled with renewed strength and determination, they rampaged through the field. But somehow, they made a foul, and AC was given yet another penalty! And, by God’s tender grace – we DID IT!!!! The score was brought to 16-12!!! A 4 point advantage!

At this point, there was not much time remaining, so although the Saints tried their hardest to fight back, it was too late. AC HAD WON!!!!!

Through this Rugby C Div finals, I learnt several valuable lessons.

1.) The power of sincere prayer

2.) Never underestimate God’s power. He can turn all situations, good OR bad, around.

Thank You God for this sweet victory.
